Generations actress Nambitha Mpumlwana was accused of owing her housekeeper Chimwemwe Banda R5000.
He showed the Dailysun CCMA documents stating that she had to pay him his wages and damages of R5000 by 15 November, which she never did.
Nambitha has responded through her publicist, Thandy Matlaila.
Thandy said that Nambitha let Chimwemwe go because the cops were looking for him in connection with a break-in at her home.
"He left after a house robbery in July," said Thandy.
"The police have been attempting to contact him, but it has proven difficult because he is a foreign national.
"Nambitha has on numerous occasions encouraged Chimwemwe to give her his current address so she can make arrangements for him, but it seems that his fear of the police is greater than his need for the money in this case."
When asked about the allegations, Chimwemwe said: "I went to the mall with her on the day of the burglary because she wanted to buy things for the Durban July.
"She went to fetch her son at school afterwards and I walked home. When I got there, the gate was open.
"I phoned her right away and when we went inside, we found she had been burgled."
The cops have also denied the actor's allegations.
Spokeswoman Lieutenant-Colonel Katlego Mogale said: "None of these things are in her statement to the police.
"There is no indication that her housekeeper was involved in the burglary."
However, Thandy denied that Nambitha had ever accused Chimwemwe of being involved.
She said the police only wanted to question him about the matter.
