Four people were killed in an attack by a group of men on a homestead in South Africa.
The attack happened after a family met for a traditional meeting, (ingxelo).
The meeting was held to inform certain family members and close relatives about a boy who would undergo circumcision the following Saturday.
Two men, Zola Vova (43) and a 21-year-old were competing in a friendly stick fighting competition, (ikhaba).
The 21-year-old lost the fight.
He was angry because he had lost so he drew a knife and stabbed Zola who died instantly.
Boys from Zola's village ran home to get reinforcements.
They returned later that night and attacked everybody who was at that homestead.
They allegedly killed three men Phondolwendlovu Simayile (70), Mzothando Ngwenkulu (30) and Xolela Manqunqu (30).
Willowvale police, with the help of East London Tactical Response Team, arrested the 21-year-old suspect and five others, two aged 16 and three aged 17.
More arrests are expected soon because other boys ran into the forest. Police recovered four pangas and knives from the suspects.
The six suspects will appear at Willowvale Magistrates Court tomorrow on charges of murder.
