A prankster nearly became the butt of his own joke when his "victim" pulled out a huge knife on him.
The joker's prank involves walking up to people in the street and asking them for directions.
When the unsuspecting member of the public obliges, he responds by saying "don't tell me what to do" repeatedly as the person tries to help.
However, when he tried it on with a person in Deptford, London, the chosen victim was enraged and reached for a knife tucked into his trousers.
As the man clutches his blade the joker reveals it is just a gag to defuse the situation.
The prankster, who has asked not to be named, posts his "Trigger Happy" style jokes on his YouTube channel ADRTV.
This particular video was taken by fellow YouTube prankster "Vanbanter".
The prankster told The Sun: "When he pulled out the blade I was initially scared, I was frightened, but I think I managed to calm the situation down.
"I have been in that kind of situation before if you get me".
The joker has since repeated the prank and received a much warmer reception.
He continued: "Yeah we've done it since and luckily things haven't gone wrong.
"You just have to pick the right people I guess."
