A groom has banned his fiancee's best friend from not only being a bridesmaid - but also from being part of the wider wedding party because of her looks.
According to one Reddit user and bride-to-be, it's her friend's looks which are the problem.
"Me and my fiancee are starting to plan our wedding," the bride-to-be wrote.
"It has been brought to my attention from my fiancé that he does not want my best friend to be in our wedding because she is not attractive.
"He says he doesn't want her ruining our wedding photos and only wants attractive people in our wedding party. I think that this is absurd."
We agree, but when the bride-to-be asked another close (male) friend, he sided with her fiancé.
Continuing, the bride-to-be says, "I feel like my best friend will be assuming she is in the wedding party, but when I don't ask her she will question it.
"I would feel horrible knowing I didn't ask her because my fiancee wants good looking people in our party."
Explaining how she has few close female friends to choose from, the bride-to-be has asked for some help.
Another comment summed it up, urging the bride-to-be to think of the bigger picture - and how she might feel years down the line, knowing what she did.
"If your best friend isn't too ugly to be your best friend, to be with you in public, to be in all of your other photos, she is not too ugly to be in the wedding party.
"When you look back at those photos, her absence will ruin them for you. And excluding her based on her looks alone would be ugly indeed."
